Happy October!

Fall is definitely in the air! I love this time of the year. The beautiful colors, the crisp chill in the air, the leaves falling to the ground, and the delicious smell of my new pumpkin spice candle!
We started Fall off with a bang! Sage and I along with Fischer and his mommy went to the Wee Witches Festival! It was a lot of fun filled with lots of fabulous dressed witches, yummy food, cute crafts, fun music, a petting zoo and LOTS of people. I think the kiddos favorite part was the petting zoo! Sage loved the animals, but was sure to keep a safe distance unlike Fischer who touched every animal he could!
Here are the kiddos busy coloring away! They were very serious about their work and both turned out with colorful haunted houses!
Here they are at the petting zoo! They can actually walk around with the animals, but here they are on the fence checking out the camel. They are so cute together.

We couldn't leave with out posing in front of some of the witches!

Sage and Fischer showing off their spider suckers! So happy!
Our attempt of taking a picture together, not something Sage likes to pose for..obviously.

It was such a fun day! Thanks for joining us Nat and Fischer! Happy October!

Sage has something she wants to tell you!

Today, Sage got to come with Mommy and Daddy to do something very special! Mommy doesn't always take Sage to this place because it is hard for mommy to listen and do what she is supposed to. But today was different. Today was a very exciting day for the whole family.

Mommy and Daddy have been telling Sage that soon she will need to be big helper and be a very good girl for mommy. Sage wonders why mommy doesn't ever feel good and why she has been able to watch so much TV lately. Mommy says too much TV isn't good for Sage but lets her do it anyway.(ha ha) Sage also wonders why mommy makes her take a nap everyday even when she doesn't want to or why she lets her play in her room and make a huge mess instead of taking a nap. Sage figures her mommy must be tired and need some time to herself.

So today, after 3 months of waiting mommy, daddy, and Sage got to hear the sounds of our little baby's heart beat in mommy's belly. Mommy decided it was finally time to share the news. And who better to share the news than Sage herself, the soon to be

BIG SISTER!
We are expecting our sweet baby March 27, 2010! We absolutely can not wait for this new addition to our family!

A much needed break...

This post is DEDICATED to my wonderful mother in law. Lately I have been needing some serious time to myself With a busy husband that is required to work non stop and that goes on hunting trips and not to mention all that is required of me in being a mom, a wife, and a homemaker I have been plum run down! There are times in our lives when you know, you just need a break! So today, my amazing mom in law rescued me for a few hours allowing me to go do some shopping all by myself! It may seem like a little thing to her, but I feel like I can just jump right back into my life again! Yes, there are still occasional moments where I would love to go and wrap up in a blanket and read my book, (which I am so into one right now I can't put it down)! But I am happy and revived for now. Sage loves you to pieces and asks about you everyday. THANK YOU so much Peggy, you do so much for our family and I do not think that I could ever thank you enough. WE LOVE YOU!

August Adventures

We have had a very eventful August! I have discovered that keeping busy and on the move makes us the happiest around our home. MOST days we are out of the house in the mornings on play dates or our own little adventures. Sage and I have had a very fun summer and can't believe that it is already over!
We haven't decided yet if we love where we live. Yes, I love my house, and yes I love where it is-but I'm not too convinced if I like: living on a mountain (it has presented some challenges)or the neighborhood (everyone seems to keep to themselves). So it has been interesting. It is so hard finding the perfect spot! Maybe someday we will figure it out!
One exciting bit of news is that we finally own a truck!! Unfortunately, Scott had a little run in with another car the other day and the Navigator was no more. We took advantage of the 'cash for clunkers' and worked some magic with Scott's parents and bought his Dad's truck! We love it and I've never seen Scott so excited about a car!
Here are some pictures from some of our latest adventures!

This was a photo opportunity just waiting to happen. I took this picture just outside of Farmington. Look closely the first billboard says, " Jesus is watching you." The next is a sign for a store called"Adult Video." Gotta love it! I wonder if that has hurt sales?! HMMM! Makes you think!

Here is my little antelope hunter. She was such a trooper!

We recently went to the Dinosaur museum with Sage's friend Fischer and his mommy. As always they had a blast. Too bad Natalie and I were ready to get out of there and head to lunch! We were more interested in eating than boring bones! I guess sometimes it is important to just be a kid again and have fun no matter what!

Farmington, 4h of July and Durango fun!

We have been having a super fun summer. We've tried to do something fun whether it be parades, hikes, 4 wheeler rides, or trips.

We recently went on a trip down to Farmington for a wedding! We had a blast! We were able to spend some time with family and friends and take advantage of some of the fun things that Farmington has to offer! One of our personal favorite's (especially Scott's) is going to the animal museum. It's always fun to see all of the animals, as long as we don't touch anything and stay with the group!! (They are a little strict there! I was on edge the whole time with my little 2 year old!) We also had a BBQ with the fam! Sage loved playing with her cousins and still talks about how they were racing in the backyard. Then we sat out in my parents front yard and watched the fireworks! It was so much fun and brought back some good memories! These pictures are all jumbled up but I love the one of Sage running from the ducks! It is such a classic face!
Then we headed to Durango for my friends wedding. It was beautiful and so great to see my old friends! It's so great that even when you don't talk a ton to your high school friends you can jump right back into how it used to be. It was a great trip!
Sage getting down on the dance floor, and Sarah,me, and Chelsea! So good to see you guys!

Happy 2nd Birthday Sage!

Happy Birthday Sage!
I can not believe that my little girl has turned 2 today. Sage has made me the happiest mommy EVER! She was the most beautiful baby I have ever seen when she came to our family. Her dark brown hair, pretty olive skin, and adorable little toes. She has brought so much joy into our home. I can't believe how much she has grown in two years! That dark hair is now a curly light golden brown, she has a mouth full of teeth, and can say pretty much anything if she wants to!

Sage had such a fun birthday today! We went to Lagoon and went on some really fun rides! She loved the helicopter and the baby boats the best! Tonight we had a fun Curious George party for her with her family and friends! She loved her cake and even blew out her own candle! Too Cute! Thanks to everyone that came!
I love you so much Sage! I can't wait for what's next!

Definitely time for an update!

This is my little princess, she is wearing her first dress up. I love this little girl and I just can't get enough of her!
I don't even know where to begin! I have been sooo bad at posting! Sorry to those of you who follow my blog! We are doing great and having such a good start to our summer! So what is new with us?? Well, for starters my niece got married in May! Yay for Brittany! We had such a blast because all of my 8 siblings were here! I had a full house, which I loved, and my mom got to spend 5 whole days with me!!! All of the little kiddo's had so much fun together, unfortunately I was too busy being host to take a lot of pictures!

Playing on the deck and sweet little Allison and Sage.

Me and my sister Julie at the reception! Thanks Julie, I stole it off of your blog! I'm so happy that you were able to come!

Next, Sage and her Daddy got to go on a super fun paddle boat ride with her BFF Fischer and his daddy! They were gone forever and Natalie and I were getting sort of concerned until we could finally hear those cute little voices across the lake coming back to us. They saw baby ducks and could not stop talking about it!

Then, Sage and I took a road trip to visit my parents! It was a long trip there for me since we had to stop a total of 4 times each taking about 20- 30 minutes! It was fun at first until the last 2 hours and I was exhausted and Sage started running a fever! Yep, that's right, there is something about going to my parents that sparks an illness in my little Sage. While we were there she started with a fever, then it changed to diarrhea, then it was a rash around her mouth, then she finished off with a runny nose. Even though she had all of these things she was a trooper and we had a blast. We went swimming, BBQing, playing at the park, and even went to my nephew's baseball game! It was a great trip and always worth the drive.

I have so many memories at this rest stop by the hole in the rock! I thought is was so cool to take Sage there! Sage got to ride a hot wheel with Braden!!! Swim with Ivie (my friend Sarah's little girl! Sit in Grandma's tree! Play at the park, and have fun with Grandma!

We just got back from a fun carefree trip to St. George! Of course I didn't take one picture! Oops! We had such a great time. Sage loved the pool! She has become quiet the fishy! We got to see my brother and his adorable family and as always Sage had a blast and didn't want to leave her cousins.
