Happy 4th of July!

For the Fourth of July this year we had such a fun day! We went out to lunch with Scott's parents at Good wood. Then the girls went to the mall and the boys went to Cabala's. (The girls did not want to spend all day at Cabala's!) Later that night we met up with our good friends Kevin and Allison for dinner and fireworks! We had so much fun. Sage was mesmerized by the lights. The only time she got upset was when they got too loud. Otherwise we cuddled on the blanket together. I couldn't help but think that this was what makes being a mommy so worth it! I love when she will lay and cuddle with me! It was a great day!

Sage & Max (Allison's dog) sharing toys!

Me & Scotty (not the best picture of us but we never have any together!)

Mean People are Stupid!

I have had some weird comments on my blog lately (one in particular). I just can't believe that there are people out there who have the time to look at my blog and leave rude comments. I have no idea who this person is but it is leading me to think that I might go private. What bothers me the most about all of this is that anyone can look at my blog. I never really thought about it, but it is scary that I am posting my life on the web. Yikes! Now I get why so many people are going private. Don't you hate it when one person ruins everything for everyone else!

The First Birthday Party!!!

My sweet little Sage turned one today! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. The past year was filled with the most precious moments that I will hold on to forever. I can't believe how much joy one little person can bring into your life. She has crossed so many milestones already! She is such a big girl! She just bounces around the house on her little feet with the biggest smile on her face. I love it. What I don't love is all of the bumps, bruises and scrapes she is acquiring! Her latest as you can see in her pictures was her first big fall. The gate at the top of the stairs fell down the stairs with her, leaving a few scrapes on her face. It was awful! Even though it's kind of rough she loves her new freedom! For the big ONE, we had a big BBQ bash at our house. We had Lot's of family and friends come to celebrate with us! It was such a great time! Thanks to everyone that came! It was a huge success! One thing I learned is that Sage doesn't like to be messy! She just cried when she had cupcake all over her hands! Thanks everyone for a great birthday party and some great presents!!!

Sage's 1st Birthday!

Today was such a fun day!! For Sage's first birthday I decided it would be fun to throw her a Barnyard Bash! During the day my fabulous friends and I took all of our kiddos to Thanksgiving Point to the Farm Country! The smell reminded me of home! It was so much fun! Sage wouldn't have anything to do with the pony ride! She did have fun with all of her little friends!! Thanks for coming you guys!

My little Miss Monkey

I have fully recovered from my micro laser peel! I was stuck inside for 4 days! I am pretty happy with the results. I was really expecting some drastic results since I burned off 20% of my epidermis! However, I can see some improvement. I plan on doing it again in a month or so. I can't wait!! (yeah right!) Hopefully next time will go better without the oxycodone! Maybe just some good ol' Tylenol!

We were so lucky to be able to tend my niece Mary last week!! Sage loved having a buddy to play with! We had a lot of fun and I was able to get at least one good picture when Sage was sitting still!!

Sage has also been quite the monkey lately! I can't keep her out of my drawers! We had a big laugh the other day when she started yelling for us and we found her sitting in her toy box! What a crack up! Here she is in her favorite drawers. I think it's about time for child locks!

We were also so excited to spend some time outside today! I thought Sage looked especially cute today so I snapped a few shots. Unfortunately, she was too busy exploring the new found grass to look at me and smile! Who knew grass was so interesting!

MIA

I know I have been MIA lately. I have been so lazy when it comes to posting on my blog! Not only that, I haven't been taking pictures! I really need to get on top of things! (Sorry Mom!) However our little family is doing really good. I had a great first Mother's Day! Scott was a busy man on Saturday "running errands". I am so thankful to be a mother. It is truly the greatest blessing and most amazing experience of my life. Thanks to my beautiful Sage. She is so sweet, happy, funny, beautiful...the list could go on and on. I love being her Mommy!

A little update on me...On Thursday I underwent a Micro Laser Peel. Basically (my friend Allison) took a laser and burned off the top layers of my skin!(We are still friends!) Sounds awful right! Well it was! I looked very scary after and cried when I saw myself in the mirror. For those of you who know what it smells like when you are branding cows, well that is was it smelt like as a vacuum was sucking it out of the room. To make matters worse I took an oxycodone for the pain which made me so sick. I threw up on the way home. Thank goodness Scott was with me! He was very resourceful in quickly handing me Sage's baby plastic baby wipe bag! It was so awful! I am looking better every day. Hopefully all the pain will be worth it. If you are wondering the purpose of the treatment is to even out skin tone and repair acne scaring. Oh the price we pay to be beautiful!

Here are same snap shots of us recently! As you can see Sage is full of energy!
