How is my little little baby FOUR years old already? Sage is such a JOY to have in our family. She has a hilarious since of humor, a very contagious smile, and HUGE imagination, and is as friendly as they come (most of the time). Sage makes friends where ever we go. Her teacher at Preschool told me that when ever there was a new student she knew that Sage would take them under her wing. She was often paired up with them and if she wasn't she would not have it. That's my Sage, she likes to be the boss! Sage loves to play dress up, make art projects, play outside, swing all day long, dress her dolls and stuffed animals, loves to check out princess books from the library, loves to play with her cousins and she especially likes to eat treats! Sage hit the ground running and has not stopped these past four years. She is a very happy and energetic child! She did very well in preschool and in her dance class. We look forward to what the next year brings! I love you Sage!! Happy Birthday my sweet girl!!

A Bridal Shower for Marlee
A few weeks ago me, my sister's, and my niece gave my soon to be niece, Marlee, a bridal shower! She is marrying my nephew Tyler, Tammy's son.
I just love her to pieces!
We gave her a vintage "Once Upon a Time" bridal shower that was BEAUTIFUL! I was so thrilled with how it turned out! Thanks to Megan's beautiful pictures that I just so happened to steal off her blog (thanks Meg's!) I get to enjoy it even more!
For the food we had all the right fixings for sandwiches, fresh fruit with a marshmallow dip, and a yummy spinach salad. For dessert we made mini lemon raspberry cupcakes and a simply beautiful rose chocolate cake.
To change up the traditional notebook with advice for the bride to be we made an advice tree. We laid out tag's for everyone to right on and hang in the tree. It made for a great display and a cute tag book!
We also played a couple of fun games. A game I called "What kind of Gal are you?", asked questions such as, Are you a comfy flats or a high heels kind of gal? It was fun to get to know Marlee a little better! Who ever had the most matches with her won cute strawberry salt and pepper shakers! We also played a celebrity couples game that was a lot of fun! We had a mug for the winner of that game!
We had such a fun time and especially a fun time planning and decorating!
We McGee girls love to throw a party!! (Especially really cute one's!)

Easter Weekend!
What is Easter without dying Easter Eggs??!! We had the Hewitt's over for some egg dying fun! And man oh man did we have fun!!!!
We were lucky enough to go to an Easter Egg hunt with my sister Tammy!! The girls had a blast filling up their baskets!
| Here is Sage doing her most FAVORITE thing in the world. She could swing all day long if I let her! |
Of course we made it to Grandma and Grandpa Simons house for Easter dinner and another egg hunt!
Afterwards we went on a walk to the park!
| This picture is so funny because Sage would not keep her head up and smile for the picture!! Scott is holding her head up! At least she is laughing and it was a funny moment!! |
We had such a great Easter this year. But I can't help but think how we get so caught up in the parties and the fun of it all that the real meaning gets lost. I have to wonder as a parent how we can still have fun but make sure that my children understand what Easter is really about. It almost feels like it is an after thought. Each holiday seams to turn into what we get and a fear that my kids begin to expect presents for everything! I'd like to be better at balancing it all. Just a thought!
A quick get away
About a month ago we decided to jump in the car and head south for a weekend in the sun!! It was so beautiful and the weather could not have been more perfect! We spent the weekend in the pool and made it to Zion National Park where we enjoyed a yummy lunch at Oscar's and a fun adventurous hike!
It was some much needed time away from the stressed of everyday life! Oh how I love the sunshine!

Reagan's 1st Year Birthday Party!
The First Birthday is always my favorite birthday party to celebrate. It is the party that says "we survived the first year!" It is as much a celebration of the sweet one year old as it is for the parents.
We felt as though we should kick off Reagan's second year of life with a fun
Milk and Cookies Party!
I had a blast planning for it, decorating for it, and of course seeing it come to life in our house!
Her party was a blast and one that I will never forget! I thought it turned out pretty darn cute!
There was no shortage in yummy cookies, chocolate Oreo cupcakes, Reagan's chocolate birthday cake with vanilla frosting, pink polka dots, and Oreo cookies. And of course do not forget the milk!
Reagan dug right into her Birthday Cake! She loved it and thought it was sooo yummy!!
Most of all Reagan sure did enjoy all of her presents! Thanks to everyone that came and supported us and joined in with us on this special day!

Sage's first talk at Church!
Today Sage gave her first talk in Primary at Church! She did such a great job! We were a little worried last night because she wouldn't stand still for a second or repeat her talk to us. But today she made a proud mommy out of me! She stood right up at the microphone, said what Scott whispered in her ear and held up all of the visual aides!! I couldn't stop smiling! I am so proud of you Sage!!
